James Lee

James Lee is the VP of Finance & Operations at Productboard, a product management platform that helps companies get the right products to market, faster, by understanding what customers need, prioritizing what to build next, and aligning everyone around the roadmap. James joined Productboard in early 2020 after its Series B round and has built and managed the company's foundational finance and internal operations functions, including Accounting, Strategic Finance, Legal, IT, Deal Desk, and Business Analytics.

Prior to Productboard, James helped build and lead Strategic Finance and Business Operations functions at GitHub from Series B through the Microsoft acquisition. James drove and contributed to numerous key initiatives, including launching new products, creating and operationalizing financial plans, and closing the acquisition with Microsoft. Before that, he worked as an investor at Accel-KKR and an investment banker at JPMorgan and Jefferies.

James holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from University of California, Berkeley. He currently lives in San Francisco and enjoys playing golf on weekends.
