Building a company is rarely linear. We know because we’ve been founders, employees, later stage investors, and limited partners in the past. We started Asymmetric to be a different kind of venture capital firm.

We aim to be helpful, optimistic, and respectful thought partners. The networks we amassed before we started Asymmetric – across tech, private markets, and the institutional investor community – are some of our best and most differentiated assets. We bring our past experience and networks to the table for every company we back, and think we can help to create truly asymmetric outcomes.

To be clear, we’re in the business of seeking excellence. But we’ve also learned over time that excellence only matters when coupled with kindness and integrity.  We’re hyper focused on maintaining the transparent, respectful, hardworking, informal, and fun culture of our firm, and sharing it with our founders, Advisor Partners, co-investors, and limited partners.  Companies who share that ethos, and truly understand the mechanics and broader trends affecting their space, are the best partners for us.
